Community Counseling Services (CCS) provides outpatient mental health treatment to Northampton County and the surrounding areas.

We provide individual, family and group outpatient counseling and psychiatric services. The mission of CCS is to ensure that clients have the necessary social, emotional, psychological, educational and spiritual support to achieve their greatest potential. Our therapeutic staff utilizes a holistic, strengths based approach which promotes independent functioning and self-reliance. The use of evidence based techniques empowers clients to identify personal strengths, access community resources and cope more effectively with daily challenges. All therapists hold advanced degrees in psychology, social work or counseling. We are passionate about nurturing the resiliency of the human spirit; we believe that the therapeutic relationship inspires personal growth and change. Established in 1992 as a program of Methodist Services, CCS operates offices in Bangor and Easton. With offices located in Bangor and Easton, CCS’ goal is to provide a welcoming and safe environment in which individuals can collaborate with mental health professionals to achieve psychological wellness and in turn improve daily functioning. Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW)’s Office of Mental Health, Community Counseling Services is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization that is classified by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a 501©(3) organization.
